Scs is finally populating the ETS2 world with road signs. This is a huge task, with the size of the world they expect to spend several weeks just on placing the signs, not to speak about creating them first and play testing them before release.
The ratio of local roads versus major highways is increased in Euro Truck Simulator 2 compared to any of our older games. Of course with the compressed scale of the virtual world we don't even have enough room to cover all important highways, and inevitably the selection of local roads is even more limited. But they work really great to spice things up and add variety to the overall experience.
Scs is still here, still working hard on the game, unfortunately the blog is getting neglected a bit. They have some plans to unveil cool ETS2 facts and features in the coming weeks, but for now, to satisfy your never ceasing appetite for more news, here is just post a few nice screens which we took this week.
The nights of Euro Truck Simulator 2 will now be much darker than the previous games from SCS Software. SCS indicates that they could apply the night effects well in previous simulators, but that the ambient light was too strong for the nightly light. In Euro Truck Simulator 2 they can set everything exactly, so you can get the effects you have in real life! In the screens below you can clearly see why:
This user interface screen from Euro Truck Simulator 2 is going to reveal quite a bit about the span of Europe covered in the game.
