Merry Christmas

 Merry Christmas

Scs's blog is now read by over 10,000 people every day, and they know of many other sites which take their content and repost it translated into various languages. That's a LOT of people looking forward to the release of Euro Truck Simulator 2, and you can be sure that scs is not taking this liability lightly.

Merry Christmas

They are not ceasing work completely even during the final days of the year; this is hopefully not the final post of 2011 from us. They thank you for your patience, stay tuned, and have a good time!

Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Country-specific Stuff

A little feature which was completed just this last week is support for country-specific license plates. Combined with generating the mix of AI vehicles in traffic with probabilities characteristic for various countries, it definitely improves the feeling of locality in the game. Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Rainy night

Things got interesting during the second part of the trip (see last week's post) - as the night was approaching, the weather got progressively worse...

To be completely honest, the new rain effects were only put into ETS 2 during the past 2 weeks. Just as with every feature, after the initial implementation we will probably still be tweaking the effect for considerable time.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Trip to Austria

The ETS2 map is almost completely populated with road signs now. During the testing of a particular area of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 world, Scs decided to grab some screenshots along the route. Today, they are bringing you half of the shots as daytime progressed towards the evening. Stay tuned for tomorrow, they will be showing the late part of the day and night, and many of you may be happy to see what happened.
