Euro Truck Simulator 2, this one had to be different from the other one, way different. SCS Software decided to take the well working conept of Euro Truck Simulator. SCS Software tried to aqcuire as many licenses of as many truck brands as possible, in order to be able to use these brands in the game. In all the previous games they used the differend truck Classes (A, B, C); Completely not the case in Euro Truck Simulator 2! They use the full names of the trucks, just like the brands do themselves! This is, of course, a whole lot better, and a whole lot more realistic. And that is what a simulator game is all about!
But sadly, the long and hard negotiations with the brands were not always succesfull. Some brands did not understand the use of a license in the game. But a few brands did issue a license and their trucks will be featured in the game itself. Swedish king of the road Scania was always positive about issuing their license. SCS even created Scania Truck Driving Simulator, that is how positive Scania was! The brands MAN ,Renault and DAF are also featured. MAN was already featured in German Truck Simulator. For the other brands, SCS thought up some names that were quite similar to the brand names themselves. They already introduced this way of naming in German Truck Simulator. Think of Ivedo, Majestic, Vailiant. Check the screenshot, there you can see the names and a small truck preview.
